U-Rolling Frame

A further possibility for laying long pipes is the Parallel Single Slide Rail Shoring with U-Rolling frame.

The U-Rolling frames get positioned alternately. One U-frame must be lowered down as far as possible; the next U-frame should be in an upper position.  Then the long pipe has to be placed down in the range of the lower U-frame and moved horizontally underneath the upper U-frame for final positioning.

An alternative method is to turn around one of the U-frames, i.e. positioning the long side of the frame face up. The long pipes can then be lowered down in this area.

However, the U-Rolling frame design has an adverse effect on static requirements. The compressive force from the Slide Rails is spread asymmetrical via the rolls of the U-Rolling frame, causing not just the normal force, but also further bending moment which all has to be taken by the frame extension. Therefore, the U-Rolling frame and the frame extension must be solid and robust, which in turn results in it being the heaviest of the three different frames on offer.

The system can be used for a trench width from 1.17 – 7.17 m.  In order to achieve the required trench width several frame extensions can be flanged and screwed behind each other. The U-Rolling frame is a vertically moveable frame, which flexibly adjusts in height for a pipe clearance of up to 2.50 m. The system can be used for a trench width from 1.17 m to 7.17 m. In order to achieve the required trench width, several frame extensions can be flanged and screwed behind each other.

The Single Slide Rail has a one track guidance for the insertion of the shoring plates. The plates are equipped with special T-shaped side adapters to slide into the rail, ensuring a positive connection. Thus, only one base and one top extension plate can be inserted for a maximum trench depth of up to ~ 3.80 m.

The slide rail plates and bolts used are identical in all our Slide Rail Systems enabling a high level of flexibility and compatibility.

The standard length of the Slide Rail plates is 2.00 to 5.00 m; however, the 3.50 m long plate is the most common for this system.
